Smoothie Bar Smoothies

Just got an email from “Mr Gourmet” who used to own his own smoothie bar, coffee shop. He will be so kind to share with us some of his recipes :-)

This is what he wrote us:

At one time I owned a smoothie bar / coffee shop and the smoothies were a
hit. We got into the habit of freezing all of the fruits for a much more
“dense” smoothie. The plain yogurt put such a great tang to the smoothie
but many people requested frozen yogurt that was much sweeter. Instead of
using granulated sugar we used a simple syrup that was 1/2 brown sugar
1/2 white sugar and then 1 oz of honey per 12 ounces of the simple syrup.
Great flavor and pretty simple to make.
